Client: Collision Repair Association
The Collision Repair Association needed to move its conference from an in-house event with a distinctly analogue registration and delegate management process to something modern and digital. This was, in large part, because the Association wasn’t an events company and certainly not in the event technology business. So, it needed to make things easier by bringing us in to modernise this process.
Along the way, we were also able to help them improve the rates of their sponsorship and exhibition fees. Prices hadn’t changed for a long time, and the cost of servicing those exhibitors and sponsors was definitely eating up any benefits to the organisation, especially since it has such a small staff, who need to continue to provide value to their members with business as usual activities.
With dedicated comms and marketing resources, we also assisted the Collision Repair Association in marketing the event to delegates and sponsors. We created a dedicated registration campaign using direct email, social media, trade magazine spots, and call centre outreach.
Most members found registration easy, and the digital process gave us complete visibility of delegate numbers. This made managing the budget easy and allowed us to implement a payment plan strategy to help boost delegate numbers over the final stretch.
Using our experience in attracting and managing event sponsors, we increased the sponsorship tiers to sustainable levels. The new Premium Partner tiers were snapped up almost immediately.
Despite the tough times in the industry, we helped the Association achieve the second-highest delegate numbers for a Conference and the highest numbers in the last ten years.
